After nearly three years of dedicated work in Wisconsin, we are excited to announce a major milestone: the launching of our Wisconsin site as its very own organization! Awaken in Wisconsin will now be HER Alliance!
Since beginning Awaken’s efforts in Wisconsin, the team has been operating under our umbrella, providing critical support and services to combat commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking in the region. Now, as they step into independence, this marks the beginning of a new season, one where the Wisconsin team (HER Alliance) will have the autonomy to grow and thrive as a locally governed and operated organization.
This transition reflects the strength and maturity of their efforts, as well as the need for their unique, community-specific approach to continue growing. While Awaken in Nevada remains deeply connected to the mission, this exciting step allows HER Alliance to build on the foundation we’ve laid together while forging its own path in the fight against trafficking.
What does this mean?
