The Strategic Development Director role is responsible for advancing Awaken’s mission by driving strategic fundraising initiatives, cultivating donor relationships, managing communications efforts, and overseeing the effective utilization of DonorPerfect software. This position focuses on aligning Awaken’s development strategy with long-term organizational goals, ensuring financial sustainability and greater mission impact.

Role Summary

The Adult Advocate provides outreach, crisis services, and case management for survivors of sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation (CSE). This role emphasizes a strengths-based, participant-centered, and trauma-informed approach while ensuring cultural sensitivity, and developmental appropriateness. Reporting to the Program Director, the Advocate coordinates essential services to empower participants in achieving their individualized goals.

Role Summary 

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Advocate provides crisis services, initial assessment, case management services, and services to youth referred to the program as victims of sex trafficking. The Advocate is responsible for the coordination of essential services within the organization. The Advocate will maintain contact with referring/referral agencies, provide data collection, case documentation, file maintenance and social service to support the youth participants. Services are delivered from a strengths-based, participant-centered, culturally sensitive, and appropriate developmental approach. Particular attention is paid to a victim-centered and trauma-informed approach.
